Work coherently with Technical Staff

The State Minister for Local Government who also doubles as the Woman Member of Parliament for Kabarole District Mrs. Victoria Busiinge Rusoke has asked Politicians of Bunyangabu District to work coherently with Technical staff to foster development. During the Launch of a 2.1Km Kahondo-Bubwika Road on Thursday 21st October 2021, Hon Rusoke observed that if Politicians work hand in hand with technical staff without pulling ropes, this will foster local economic development.

She also asked the locals of Bubwika Village in Kibiito Town council to take charge of supervising the Road works so as to ensure that the contractor does quality work as per the BOQs (Bills Of Quantity).

The LCV Chairperson Mr. James Ategeka Mugarama asked the State Minister for Local Government to consider Bunyangabu in Road works since most of the roads are in a sorry state.

Hon. Mugarama said the type of soils in Bunyangabu make roads impassable during the rainy seasons which make the electorates wild. The road that was launched is under the Local Economic Growth Project (LEGs).

It will have a bridge (Box culvert) 21M long. The road will be raised from the swamp to an appropriate height of 3 Meters.

The project will be supervised by the District Engineer together with Engineers from the Ministry of Water and Transport (MOWT) and Ministry of Local Government (MOLG).
