RDC CAUTIONS CONTRACTORS ON DELAYED WORKS

The Resident District Commissioner(RDC) Bunyangabu Mr. Joshua Masereka has cautioned Contractors against delayed completion of works.

During a site Meeting at Rubona Health Centre II that was held on Monday 11th 2022, Mr. Masereka asked contractors to beef up staff and endeavor to complete the project before the closure of the Financial year such that funds are not refunded back to the center.

“We ask you to speed up all your processes because it will be unfortunate if these funds are taken back to the center,” he said.

The Vice LCV Bunyangabu Mr. John Manume asked government to always look into the issue of over loading some particular contractors with so much work which sometimes hinders effective delivery.

“You find one contractor given around 5 contracts of the same nature, how do you expect such a contractor to be effective?” he wondered.

However, the Chief Administrative Officer Bunyangabu Mrs. Edith Mutabazi set 6th June 2022 for another site meeting and told contractors that she expects to find the work almost complete during that time.

The construction of Rubona Health Centre II is under UGIFT Fund and contractors are Karobwa company Limited
