Parents asked to take back all the children to School.
The Speaker Bunyangabu District Council Hon. Kato Hussein has asked Parents to take back their children to schools as they reopen.
He noted that during the closure of schools due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a number of girls of school going age were impregnated and thus rendering most of them parents at a tender age.
He appealed to parents to consider taking these children back to school so that their future is upheld.
Hon. Kato said this during the commissioning of a two-unit staff quarter house at Kabahango Health center III in Buheesi sub county on Monday 20th December 2021.
The Vice Chairperson Bunyangabu District Hon. John Manume thanked the NRM government for providing shelter to the Health Practitioners.
“Now that you have where to stay, we expect you to give maximum attention to our patients, we do not want to get reports of expectant mothers failing to get midwives at the station to attend to them during that time of labor,” he said.
According to Dr. Richard Obeti the Ag. DHO Bunyangabu District, Kabahango Health Center III has OPD, both a male ward and a female ward and also a maternity ward that is fully equipped.
He asked the community to put the facility to maximum utilization.
