It has been observed that a number of HIV infections is on the increase in Uganda.

On this basis, Alive Medical Services has organised a Pilot Project of Safe Healthy Empowered and protected vulnerable population in Uganda to address the challenge.

While Hosting an inception meeting in Bunyangabu District on Wednesday,Dr. Kihika Elizabeth said the aim of the project is to ensure that 30.000 vulnerable population access safe testing kits for early diagonosis and linkages to treatment or other prevention services in 25 Districts in Uganda over two years.

She added that the project is aiming to initiate 2000 vulnerable populations at substancial risk of aquiring HIV  on Pr EP and ensure 60% at substancial risk continue on Pr EP in 25 Districts in Uganda.

According to Mr. Swizen Kutambaki the Deputy CAO Bunyangabu District this is a good initiative that will help fight the prevalance of HIV infections in the District.
