BUNYANGABU YOUTH COUNCIL ASKED TO BE EXEMPLORY
The newly elected Youth chairperson Bunyangabu District Hon. Kato Paul has asked the Youth council to be exemplary.
During the swearing in ceremony of Youth leaders in Bunyangabu District on Monday, Hon Kato observed that a number of Youth in Uganda have branded themselves as rioters who are always opposing government programs instead of embracing development.
“Let us be a youth council that is development oriented and let us encourage our fellow youth to get involved in government programs,” he said.
While presiding over the function, the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Bunyangabu District Mr. Jolly Tibemanya cautioned the Youth council against being used by self-seekers.
Mr. Tibemanya said that some politicians with bad intentions always use the Youth to bring others down to achieve their own selfish desires. “Do not allow to be used by self-seekers, rather use this opportunity to show exemplary service,’’ he told them.
The Chief Administrative Officer Bunyangabu Mr. Stephen Oloya encouraged the Youth council to get actively involved in monitoring government programs like Youth Livelihood Program (YLP) to promote development amongst the youth.
