Bishop Kisembo Hails Bunyangabu District Leadership as Shs 7M is collected for Construction of Rubona C.O.U Archdeaconry

Bishop Reuben Kisembo of Ruwenzori Diocese has hailed Bunyangabu district leadership for good work done in Bunyangabu in terms of infrastructural development and general service delivery.

 

The Bishop made the remarks during a thanksgiving service and fundraising ceremony for the construction of Rubona C.O.U Archdeaconry that was held at Bunyangabu District Council Hall where Shs 7 million was collected for the cause.

During the Wednesday service, Bishop Kisembo also urged leaders and technical staff to remain transparent and fear God, adding that the Church of Uganda still has land in Bunyangabu, which can be requested and used to improve service delivery. 

 

"The Church still has land that can be given for the construction of health centres and schools. We can be engaged every time an opportunity arises and we see how we can become partners," the Bishop said.

 

The event was organised by the LCV chairperson, Hon James Ategeka, in conjunction with other leaders like councillors, District Executive Committee members, Heads of Departments, the RDC and technical staff

In his speech, the chairman appreciated the Bishop for honouring his invitation and pledged to keep working hard to make Bunyangabu a model district in service delivery.
